Participants in this program will explore the history of racial justice and multiculturalism in Australia and around the world. Through this participants will:

Develop an understanding and appreciate the history, social impact and dynamics of the multicultural sector in Australia and be able to contrast this with racial justice movements in the US, UK and other parts of the world.

Reflect on personal and organisational competencies and gaps in being able to meaningfully engage with, and build long-term relationships with the multicultural sector and multicultural communities.

Be equipped with tools and strategies to be able to engage more effectively with the multicultural sector.

Feel ready and able to embark on a learning journey about building relationships of solidarity with the multicultural sector.

Foundational Concepts
Setting the scene with unpacking certain foundational concepts that underpin the practice of cross-movement building with multicultural organisations.
MODULE 2
Reflections
Undertaking personal and organisational reflection regarding own positionality with the system; own experiences operationalising inclusive practices and campaign.
MODULE 3
Understanding the Multicultural Sector
Understanding the theory of change, history, impact and what this means for cross-movement and solidarity building.
MODULE 4
Putting Things Into Practice
Workshopping frameworks and tools to build a cross-movement building strategy within its own organisational context.
